Standard Warranty


Standard One Year Parts & Labor:

Excel Meridian Data, Inc. (EMD) warrants the equipment purchased to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for the period of one (1) year.
This warranty is limited to the original registrant and subject to delivery based on prompt payment of your invoice.

Extended Maintenance:
Upgrade to two (2) and three (3) year extended maintenance periods for continuous product support.

For mission critical environment optional services such as On-Site Support Service or 24x7 Phone Support are available and recommended to complement this standard warranty. Please contact your sales representative for more information.

Under the Standard Warranty Policy Excel Meridian Data will:

  1. a) Replace defective component parts including: DVD ROM drive(s), Hard Drive(s), Power Supply(s), NAS controller(s), Cooling Fan(s), backplane modules, RAID controller(s), etc. with current stock.
    b) Ship part to you at our expense* for your installation. Replacement items will be shipped overnight when in stock. If items are out of stock notification and arrangements will be made to get parts to your location.
    c) Provide RMA information to you for return of defective part within 10 days.
  2. You may not alter or modify the equipment without the express permission from EMD or your warranty will be void.
  3. EMD retains the right to void the warranty or refuse warranty service due to neglect as determined solely by EMD, and/or any modification to the hardware or core software of the solution not provided by EMD, and/or failure to provide the EMD technical support department with all documentation requested concerning the nature of the failure.
  4. Except as expressly set forth above, or as required by statute, no other warranties, either express or implied are made with respect to this equipment.
  5. Your sole remedies and the entire liability of EMD and it's suppliers are set forth herein. In no event will EMD or it's suppliers be liable to you or any other person for any damages, including incidental or consequential damages, expenses, lost profits, lost savings or other damages arising out of use of or inability to use such equipment.
  6. International customers are responsible for all shipping expenses.

  8. Customers are always responsible for return freight charges for merchandise being sent to EMD.
    EMD will pay freight charges to the customer in the event a replacement part is required within the continental United States. Customers outside of the continental United States must pay freight charges both to and from EMD, by providing a FedEx, UPS, DHL or Airborne account number and authorizing us to bill that account, or by providing a credit card number for freight to be billed to.
