AIT is an innovative format ideally suited for real-time multimedia data acquistion, midrange storage management, unattended backup, and transportable storage applications. The compact footprint, variety of interfaces, and low power requirements allow for easy integration.

Advanced features provide increased performance, reliability, and functionality, such as Write Once, Read Many (WORM) for enhanced data security.

• Super Head Cleaner™ mechanism: Provides an automated cleaning solution increasing head life and reducing the need for periodic cleaning.
  
  
• Adaptive Lossless Data Compression (ALDC) provides greater data compression efficiency: Offers average compression of 2.6:1.
  


• Helical scan recording writes the tape in one pass with a slow tape speed: reduces wear-and-tear on the tape media and drive, increasing reliability and head life.
